CYCLING ZIMBABWE

Cycling  Zimbabwe is the national governing body of cycling in Zimbabwe and is affiliated to the International Cycling Union (UCI) and Confederation Africaine de Cyclisme (CAC). Though not limited to, it governs the disciplines below

ROAD

The riders start together in a bunch. The courses are of varying distances . Road races have several different formats: one-day races from one point to another or on a circuit, such as the UCI World Championships or stage races

BMX

Bicycle moto cross (BMX) started in the late 1960s in California, around the time that motocross became a popular sport in the USA. The motorised version of the sport was the inspiration for the human powered competition.

MOUNTAIN

The first mountain bike competitions were held in California (USA) in the early eighties. Since then the discipline has grown very fast, in all aspects.
