Welcome to the CAC BMX African Championships 2023, hosted by the local organizing committee comprising of members from Cycling Zimbabwe and Busters BMX Club. The committeee has put in a lot of effort to ensure the event is a a success. A big thank you to our Guest of honour, VIP guests, international visitors who have made the special trip to be present here today. It’s also wonderful that there are local Zimbabweans present, showing their support and love for this sport. To all the riders, remember to give your best today and make the most of this opportunity.

As we come together to participate and experience such a momentous occasion as the 2023 BMX African Championships, I extend heartfelt gratitude to each of our organising committees. Best wishes to all the riders competing this weekend and thank you for making the effort to travel here today. Push your limits & enjoy the thrill of the race, reaching for new heights!

The CAC BMX Racing African Championships is one of our most prestigious continental competitions. The BMX Racing discipline is growing from year to another on our continent, but we still have a way to go and only through a joint effort will we be able to reach our goal.
This continental championship is an excellent opportunity for African riders to meet, compete and share their experiences, and I ask them to set an example of fair play, sporting spirit and competitiveness. It gives me great pleasure to welcome all the participating riders, commissaires and Officials to the 7th edition of the CAC BMX Racing African Championships.
The 2023 CAC BMX Racing African Championships witness the participation of around 123 riders from Côte d’Ivoire, Morocco, South Africa and Zimbabwe in both the championship and challenge categories. The CAC greatly appreciates the interest and commitment shown by Zimbabwe in organizing the CAC BMX Racing African Championships. On behalf of the Confederation of African Cycling “CAC” I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Government of Zimbabwe, the Zimbabwe Cycling Federation, the Sponsors and all those involved in the organization of this event, in particular the President of the Zimbabwe Cycling Federation Mr. Davis Muhambi, the Secretary General Ms. Elsie Mahumbe.
